13. Ice, Ice, Baby
We love ice. Especially on a hot day, there’s nothing more satisfying than dropping a bunch of ice into a large glass of a cold drink. It’s not entirely unheard of to put ice in drinks in the rest of the world, but it’s not quite as common anywhere else as it is in the US, and not in these quantities.

Take the UK, for example. They absolutely refuse to put ice in their drinks for reasons not quite understood, perhaps simply to differentiate themselves from Americans. When certain cocktails with drinks that had ice in them began to appear in the UK, the pubs serving them even started becoming dubbed as “American bars.”
